- When I was is in high school my mother dragged me to my first goodwill shop. I really did not want to go cause I always thought of it as a place only extremely poor people shopped. I can say as soon as I walked inside I fell in love with it. You could find clothes from the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's. I am not saying that some of the stuff did not smell funny but you could put it together with stuff like a brand new pair of shoes or accessories and look pretty nice. I am getting out of the militay now and figured this as a good way to follow my dreams and establish my network to become a fashion stylist. Always remember wearing vintage clothes does not mean that you are broke, it just means you know good style when you see it.
